The annual “Taste” includes a chowder cook off contest, live
music & entertainment, arts & crafts, food & more. The

Mullet Toss
- February
Held by the Matlacha Mariners, this annual event is on its
18th year and has an attendance of hundreds of people.
People gather in Matlacha to toss mullet at targets for

A day of education about the Calusa Indians who made

Annual Garden Gala
- February

Annual Pine Island Art Show
- February
Held on Valentine weekend, it’s the oldest and largest show
on Pine Island. It is known statewide and attracts more than
3,000 art lovers each year. 283-4432
Seafood Festival and Car Show
- March
Held by the Matlacha Mariners, the annual seafood festival
is a gathering of local seafood restaurants. People come
from all over Lee County to sample seafood. Money raised

Bobby Holloway Fishing Tournament

This is an annual fishing tournament in memory of a Pine
Island youngster Bobby Holloway, an 11 year old that lost
